I purchased these cables with relatively low expectations, despite the stellar reviews. Honestly, I assumed they would be decent but nothing to write home about and that I would need to replace them in short order. ** SPOILER ALERT: I was mistaken. **

I'm an abominable monster when it comes to charging cables for my devices. On top of very frequent charging across multiple devices, I also have the bad habit of using my phone while it charges and propping it against my chest, which causes the cable to fail at the weakest point where the cable joins the charging connector housing. I hadn't found a cable that could withstand my brutality, and I've sank far too much money into OEM cables, Amazon cables, cheap cables, overpriced cables, and everything in between (even other "tough" brands). All fail within a few weeks, leaving me to start the process over again and hoping I don't get electrocuted by my now-frayed cable before I can get a new one.

As a result, my requirements for the ideal, personal unicorn cable are thus: (1) must be of a workable length, (2) must be long-lasting, (3) must provide a fast and consistent charge, and (4) must not be obscenely expensive. Rampow cables fulfill these on all fronts and have far exceeded my expectations to now. I've used them for a bit less than a month and they are showing no signs at all of fraying or other failure that I would normally be seeing by this point, and I have purposefully been far rougher with these cables than normal to truly test their integrity. The 3.3' length is perfect for both bedside and car charging, and the double pack is an awesome value. Charging on my primary Android device, a ZTE ZMaxx 2, with a standard 2A wall mount runs 1,100 - 1,400mA (my device max is 1,500mA) and it does work with my device's smart charge capability, so I can plug my phone up knowing that it'll power up quickly and safely.

Additionally, the lifetime replacement warranty is just one more boon for a great product. I would happily repurchase if something were to eventually happen to the cable, but knowing that it'll be swapped by the manufacturer with little hassle if that occurs is just icing at this point. Registering my cables for the service was quick and easy (it took less than 30 seconds and required minimal information), and Rampow even sends a few email reminders for those of us who normally fail to register for warranties because we just forget.

As I'm sure you can tell from the above, I'm very happy with this purchase. I rarely write reviews at all, but it seems I've finally found my unicorn cables which I didn't think really existed. I'll update in the future when they finally give up the ghost (after all, electronic gadgets all have a lifespan) but by all indications that will be quite a while yet.
